Dependencies

Prefer standard library over third-party packages, whenever possible and practical. Every external dependency you add is one more thing you have to maintain.

Add third-party packages only when the standard library does not cover your use case, or when the third-party package is clearly worth it. Go standard library covers a lot, more than most of other languages.
Take the advantage of it.
